Alexander ready to start new job as OABCIG superintendent

Matt Alexander officially began his duties as OABCIG superintendent July 1. The Ida Grove native recently moved to Ida Grove and is busy setting up his new home, getting his son ready for college and learning what’s happening in the OABCIG District.

Alexander was born and raised in Ida Grove and graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1991. For the past 17 years he’s served in a variety of positions with the Atlantic School District. He has a BA in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, a BA in secondary education and minors in history and world history from Buena Vista University, a master’s degree in PK-12 administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a certificate of advanced study PK-12 Superintendent Certification from Iowa State University.
