Area schools meet ESSA goals

The Iowa Department of Education released new online reports Dec. 18 showing how public schools performed in a new accountability system that meets the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), a federal education law that replaced the No Child Left Behind Act.

At OABCIG, the elementary at Odebolt, OABCIG Middle School and OABCIG High School are all in the “met” category for comprehensive and targeted areas. The elementary at Ida Grove was in the “met” under comprehensive and “targeted” under the targeted category.

G-H Lower Elementary, G-H Upper Elementary, Ridge View Middle School and Ridge View High School are all in the “met” category for comprehensive and targeted areas.
