Falcon boys stand at 7-2 at mid-point of regular season

The OABCIG boys’ basketball team lost a pair of seven point games prior to the Christmas break. The Falcons lost to class 3A Storm Lake Dec. 20 and to South Central Calhoun Dec. 21.

OABCIG finished the first half of its season with a 7-2 record overall and 4-0 in the conference. Coach Steve Brown noted, “If you would have told us at the start of the season that we would be 7-2 at Christmas, we would have said that was a very good thing. We’ll build on that and comeback after Christmas ready to play.”

The team will be back on the court this Thursday, Jan. 3 at Lawton-Bronson. They will host IKM-Manning this Saturday, Jan. 5. The girls’ varsity game Saturday starts at 1 p.m. followed by the boys’ varsity contest.
