Falcon girls fall to L-B, Wakefield

The OABCIG girls lost to Lawton-Bronson in conference play Thursday in Lawton and to Wakefield, Neb. in the CNOS Tournament in the Tyson Center in Sioux City Friday. The setbacks left the Falcons with a 3-9 record overall and 2-3 in the WVC.

Lawton-Bronson won the first half of its conference game with OABCIG Thursday, while OABCIG took the second half. The problem was L-B had a 15-point scoring difference in the opening half while the Falcons had a two-point advantage in the second half.

“We played well and the girls played hard and gave a good effort,” noted Falcon coach Kurt Brown. “We had a couple of opportunities to get back in the game when we were down early that didn’t work out, but the girls hung in there. It was a definitely a step forward for us. Overall, it was a well played game.”
