Falcons blank Raptors in football season opener

OABCIG, ranked first in the state in class 1A, rolled up 517 yards of total offense in defeating Ridge View 42-0 in the season opening game for both clubs in Holstein Friday.
The win gave the Falcons possession of the Reynolds Trophy for the fourth consecutive year. Overall, OABCIG, Odebolt-Arthur or West Central has a 15-13 advantage in the trophy series against Galva-Holstein or Ridge View.
“All-in-all, I thought the kids played pretty well,” noted OABCIG coach Larry Allen. “We had a lot of first-time varsity kids out there and, anytime you have first-time starters, there are going to be some question marks.
