Holstein closing sites

Due the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Holstein City Administrator Theresa Pudenz said with schools closed, city staff and Mayor Kathy Breyfogle have determined to close the Lohff-Schumann Memorial Community Center, Stubbs Memorial Library and the city’s taxi service.
The library is closed to the public but librarian Emily Todd is doing curbside pickup for those wanting materials.
The taxi, after previously scheduled pickups Monday, March 16, will be closed to riders but will be providing curbside delivery for those who would like to order groceries or need medicine delivered.
Pudenz said, “This is a very fluid and unprecedented situation. The rec center and library have put out Facebook notifications. I am trying to get the city council informed and information put out on our web page as soon as possible to get everyone informed.”
