Holstein council approves resignation, votes no to changing residential zoning ordinance

The Holstein City Council approved the resignation of city administrator Kay Hanson and took action on an ordinance amendment during its meeting Oct. 1.

In her letter of resignation, Hanson said, “It has been my distinct pleasure and honor to work with you, our employees and this community as your city administrator over the past two-and-a-half years. During that time, we have successfully navigated through challenging environments; have developed new marketing strategies; made prudent budgetary decisions to ensure financial stability and implemented plans which have established the groundwork for the city to experience economic growth.
