Ida conservation pumpkin carving

The Ida County Conservation Board (ICCB) has canceled the annual Halloween hike due to concerns related to COVID-19. The pumpkin carving will go on as scheduled this Friday, Oct. 16, at Moorehead Park in Ida Grove.

Pumpkin carving

The pumpkin-carving, which the ICCB considers to be of a lower COVID-19 risk than the Halloween hike, is for kids and adults and runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the lakeside shelter on the east side of the lake at Moorehead Park.

The ICCB will provide pumpkins. Please bring your own carving tools; no knives. Every participant will receive a door prize.

Registration is required. Please sign up for a half-hour time slot for your group. Each group will be assigned a table to keep socially distant from other groups. To sign up, contact Danielle Bennett at 364-3300 or idacountynaturalist@gmail.com.
