Ida Grove council gives direction on city hall project

The Ida Grove City Council decided to pursue renovation of the entire city hall/community hall complex during its meeting Sept. 21.
On a 4-1 vote, the council approved pursuing renovation of the current city hall and community hall. The other option was the purchase and remodeling of the former Courier newspaper building on Second Street.
Mayor Devlun Whiting asked the council to make a decision on the project in order to push forward on a specific location. He added the feedback from the community that he received favors the current city hall.
