IG outdoor swimming pool to open

The Ida Grove City Council approved a plan Friday to reopen the city’s outdoor pool. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a proclamation June 10, allowing pools to reopen, as long as they followed Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines.
The targeted opening date for the Ida Grove outdoor pool is Monday, June 22. A closing date will be determined at a later date. The pool will be open to everyone, but the city reserves the right to set restrictions by limiting patrons from Ida County or the OABCIG School District.
In addition to social distancing, health requirements and other precautions established by state and local officials, the following are highlights of the policy:
There will be a limit of 40 swimmers for each session on a first-come/first-served basis. There will be three different limited swimming sessions during weekdays (12:30 to 2:30 p.m.; 3 to 5 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) and two sessions on Saturdays and Sundays (1 to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.).
