OABCIG $15.9 million bond passes

OABCIG voters went to the polls June 25 to vote on a $15.9 million bond for improvements to the districts’ buildings. The bond passed, according to unofficial results. The Ida County Board of Supervisors canvassed the election July 2.

Voters in the OABCIG School District passed the district’s $15.9 bond with 65.51 percent in favor. The bond needed 60 percent voter approval and 846 yes votes.

A total of 925 yes and 485 no votes were cast in the election. Vote totals were as follows: Odebolt—205 yes votes, 139 no votes; Arthur—49 yes votes, 36 no votes; Battle Creek—95 yes votes, 157 no votes; Ida Grove—458 yes votes, 105 no votes and absentee—118 yes votes, 48 no votes.
