OABCIG baseball goes 1-1 to open WVC play

OABCIG’s baseball team opened the season and Western Valley Conference play last week with a win and a loss. The Falcons lost to MV-A-O/CO-U and then bounced back to blank rival Ridge View.


MV-A-O/CO-U spoiled opening day for the Falcons on their home field with a two-run decision May 20.

OABCIG managed just three hits. Tevin Harms had a double and one RBI. Pinch hitter Zach Hemer singled and drove in one run. Kaden Ladwig singled and had two stolen bases.

OABCIG 2, Ridge View 0

OABCIG nipped the Raptors in a pitcher’s battle in Holstein May 22. Both team’s pitchers allowed just two hits.
