Farmers’ market opens June 3

The Ida Area Farmers’ Market is beginning its seventh season June 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Second Street in downtown Ida Grove. The market will run from June 3 through Sept. 30. 

Kenny Tietsort and Susan Spotts will be selling produce again this year. They are licensed to accept WIC and Senior Coupons.

Country Baked by Karlie will be selling cupcakes. Nicole Bleckwehl is a new vendor, who will be selling handmade dream catchers, tie-dye clothing and tapestries. Sweet Treats by April will be offering mini cheesecakes.

Heather Bogue will be back with her homemade scones, baked goods, assorted lemonades and stationery. 

Also, 412 on Second will be displaying their wares on the sidewalk outside of their store. Pam Cobb will return with her skin and hair care, supplements and essential oils.

Old Town Vineyard and Winery will be back with their local wine and wine tasting. Grote’s Goodies and Gifts returns with her custom-made shirts and jewelry.  

The farmers’ market staff is also hoping to have roasted chilis, home decor, clothing, dog bandanas, fresh flowers and much more this season.

Local organizations will be grilling at the market to raise money for their cause. Watch the local paper and Facebook for who is grilling each week.
