Larry Miles

CHECOTAH, OK – Remembering the days of Larry Miles, 81, of Checotah, Okla., will be 1-5 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Arthur Community Center. The public is welcome.

Larry died May 18, 2021.

Larry was born in 1939 in Horton, Kan. He graduated from Ida Grove High School in Ida Grove and Auto Body Repair Tech School in Omaha, Neb.

He married the love of his life, Wilma, in 1962. They raised four children on a farm north of Arthur.

Larry considered his greatest accomplishment in life was giving his life to the Lord. Anyone who knew Larry knew that he drew his strength and love from his deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

His greatest hope was that he didn’t leave his impact on others but that he left God’s impact on their hearts. To lead someone to Christ or show them how much God cares for them was his greatest desire.

It is because of him that all of his family walks with God and rests in the assurance that they will be reunited with him again. He took his final breath here on earth and stepped into eternity.

Left to carry on his legacy and cherish his memory are his wife, Wilma; four children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Dean, and his wife; a sister, Wanda; and many loved family and friends.

Never wavering in his faith in Christ, he received his final reward and is celebrating with his parents, Charles and Carrie; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Breanna.
