John Rogers Bickley III (Bick)
1943 - 2021
John Rogers Bickley III “Bick”, 78, passed away on Dec. 2, 2021, at his residence of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., with his celebration directly following the celebration for his sister Maggie “Mary” (Bickley) Holmes DuTeau, at the Bickley family plot in the Ida Grove Cemetery.

Although Bick was a long-time resident of Scottsdale, he was a true midwestern boy at heart, having been born in Hastings, Nebraska, and residing in Ida Grove, for most of his life.
He attended the University of Iowa and graduated from UCLA, earning a degree in Psychology. John founded, owned, and operated Bickley Homes in Ida Grove, for many years. He was an outstanding athlete, an avid sports fan, and a true Hawkeye. John was an all-around athlete and loved to compete on the golf course, on a tennis court, or simply on a family night of board games. He had a gift for telling a riveting story like all the Bickley’s.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, John Bickley II and Nadyne Bickley Stone; brother Donald Bickley; and most recently, his sister Maggie Bickley DuTeau.
John leaves behind two children, John Bickley IV and Nicole Samuel Connors; nephew Robby Holmes; and five grandchildren.
