Ridge View Prom has a Las Vegas theme coming on April 13. Starting at 6:30 p.m in the Ridge View High School South Gym, you will see the Ridge View seniors in their finest gowns and suits strolling the Grand March. From there they will convene to the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Holstein for a meal and a Dance.

Good Sam Society Nursing Home had their Easter fun on April 6. At noon, there were hotdogs, chips, and pop with free will donation. The eggs were hiding in the yard for the kids to begin the hunt. There were bikes and baskets of goodies for special prizes if a lucky child finds the golden egg. A clown showed up with bubble fun. And of course, the Easter Bunny was there!
The Ida County 4-H Foundation put on a pancake breakfast for many on the morning of April 7. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, milk, juice and coffee. The breakfast definitely satisfied the bellies of a crowd at the Cobblestone Inn in Holstein. This was a celebration of the 4-H Foundation’s 20th year of serving the Ida County Youth. The Ida County fair queen was there celebrating with the youth.
Fancy is the Spring Tea Party at the Odebolt Museum on April 6. Ladies entered the museum and were immediately fitted with a special hat of whichever era they chose. Tables were set with beautiful china with tiny flowers etched into dinnerware.
Whitey Pierce and his wife Justine took over ownership of MBW Repair in Odebolt at the beginning of the year. Whitey discussed the wide variety of work he does.
Gregor Ernst and Deb Ulrich sat down recently for a visit about the flourishing youth soccer program in Ida Grove. The two shared their involvement in helping run the program.
Children raced to gather Easter eggs at the Kiwanis ball fields in Ida Grove on Saturday morning. They also had a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, and were treated to hot dogs and prizes after the Egg Hunt.
