IDA GROVE - Wilbur Hauschildt, age 91, of Ida Grove, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove, Iowa.
A Memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Father Richard D. Ball officiated. A visitation was be held prior to the service from 9-10 a.m., on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Military Rites will be conducted at the church by the McNamara-Moore Post No. 61 of the American Legion of Ida Grove, Iowa.
SIOUX CITY - Sandra Freese, age 81 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Unity Point St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Sandra M. Freese was born on March 15, 1941, to parents Everett and Betty (Nagel) Hutchinson in Sac City, Iowa. She graduated from Sac City high school in 1959.
BATTLE CREEK - Donna L. Georgopoulos, age 75, of Battle Creek, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, as the result of a vehicle accident near Rembrandt, Iowa.
PRIMGHAR - Fred J. Fletcher, age 81, of Primghar, Iowa (formerly of Battle Creek, Iowa) passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Aspire of Primghar, Iowa.
A Funeral Service was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2022, with a visitation one-hour prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Ida Grove, Iowa. Pastor Shari O’Bannon officiated. Committal Services will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery of Battle Creek, Iowa.
MELBOURNE, FLORIDA - Lt. Col Guy K. Barrett (Ret) passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Guy was born Aug. 2, 1949 in Ida Grove, Iowa. He graduated from Ida Grove High School (1967) and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa (1971) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
