Falcons rally to thump Cherokee 9-4

After a slow start, the OABCIG softball squad heated up and came away with a 9-4 victory at Cherokee on Tuesday. The Braves jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after the first inning. The Falcons answered with a run of their own in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1, but Cherokee scored three times in the bottom of the second for a 4-1 advantage. OABCIG kept battling, plating a run in the fourth inning to trim the margin to 4-2, and adding another score in the fifth to pull within 4-3. The Falcons took control of the contest in the sixth inning, erupting for four runs and a 7-4 lead.
