The OABCIG football squad celebrated homecoming in style with a 62-0 thrashing of Pocahontas Area on Friday night. The Falcons also welcomed back senior Griffin Diersen from a leg injury that had kept him sidelined for several weeks. Diersen made the most of his return, opening the scoring with an eight-yard touchdown run with eight minutes to play in the first quarter. A Kelton Ladwig extra point kick made the score 7-0. OABCIG got on the board again later in the first period, when quarterback Beckett DeJean scrambled 25 yards for a touchdown.
