In a rematch of Ida County rival basketball teams, the OABCIG boys broke away from a 30-30 halftime tie to earn a hard-fought 10-point victory at 64-54, on Monday, Jan. 15 at Holstein.
The Ridge View girls basketball squad used a strong second half to pull away from Woodbury Central, 60-38, on Senior Night in Holstein on Friday. The game started with a poignant moment, when senior Shae Dutler came onto the floor and made a ceremonial basket to start the game.
On a cold Monday night in Holstein, the Ridge View girls basketball squad fended off an improving OABCIG team by 11 points, 53-42. The two squads came out trading baskets and were tied at 14-14, when the Raptors went on a 6-0 run to grab a 20-14 lead after one quarter of play.
The Ridge View boys basketball squad played host to Woodbury Central on Senior Night on Friday, Jan. 19 in Holstein. The Raptors and Wildcats tussled for a bit, before Ridge View turned a 14-11 lead into a 23-11 lead with nine unanswered points.
