The Ridge View boys basketball squad almost reached the century mark in points last Monday night, as they went north to Storm Lake and crushed the St. Mary’s Panthers 97-14.
The Ridge View girls basketball squad traveled to Storm Lake last Monday, to take on St. Mary’s at the Panther Pit. Though the lighting was dim, the Raptors were able to see clearly enough to jump out to a 14-4 lead after one quarter.
In the rubber match between Ida County rivals OABCIG and Ridge View, the Falcons had just enough to get past the Raptors on Friday night in Ida Grove. The two squads had both won on each other’s home courts earlier in the season.
In a battle of Ida County rivals, the Ridge View girls basketball squad bested OABCIG 53-40 on Thursday night at Holstein. The contest was part of the Western Valley Conference tournament consolation round.
Madison Stowater of Ridge View, and Jenessa Kolar of OABCIG, are among the leaders in various statistical categories of Western Valley Conference girls basketball play.
The Falcon boys bowling squad traveled to Harlan and defeated the Cyclones, 2955 to 2279. In round one, Blaise Wilcox and Ben Hofmeister tied for the high game, as both bowlers rolled a 244. Wilcox also fired a 232 for a two-game series score of 476.
The OABCIG wrestling squad hosted a dual tournament in Ida Grove on Thursday night, with Cherokee, Pocahontas Area, and South Central Calhoun taking part.
The Ridge View wrestling squad hosted a meet in Schaller on Thursday night, with Denison-Schleswig, MVAO/COU, Storm Lake, and East Sac County participating.
