St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove is having an open house any week day from now until Dec. 22. Anyone can come and view all the wonderful Nativity sets they have set up in the church.

The following family members of the late Robert Spotts were present at the Ida Grove Council meeting on Dec. 4: wife, Kathryn Spotts and daughters; Teresa Lansink, Julie Mauer, Janna Thompson and Stacey Ernst. Lansink stated Ida Grove has been called home to their family for many generations.
The Mulberry Patch brings their painting projects to Sunrise Coffee in Odebolt on Dec. 9 for a fun afternoon with a group of ladies from the community. Krystal and Mike Weber started this part time business in 2020 when Covid had shut everything down. They began by mailing out DUI projects and it sprang from there. The Webers cut and engrave the wood projects that are painted on by themselves.
Matthew Grell, an Ida County Fair Board member, provided a slide presentation at the King Theatre displaying the tearing down of two swine barns and the building of the new swine barn.
Holstein Home for the Holidays event was held Dec. 2. The Cookie walk and Vendor Show started it going at 9 a.m. with a table full of cookies and a room full of vendors. People browsed and bought for their Christmas shopping. At the Stubbs Memorial Library, there was storytime.
