The Ida Grove Methodist Church’s program inspired us all on Sunday, Dec. 17. The children told the Christmas story with wonderful nativity-themed garments. The children played their parts very well.
On Dec. 7 in the evening at the Ida Grove school auditorium, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders of OABCIG delighted us all with peppy Christmas songs. The chorus was directed by Renee Fritz, in which she did a fabulous job.
The streets were lined with vehicles at Battle Creek for Christmas at the Creek on Dec. 10. Santa and Mrs. Claus were at the Inn at Battle Creek. There were gifts for the kids from Santa’s elves along with treat bags, cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate sponsored by The Inn, Legion, Auxiliary, and Willow Dale. A craft fair filled the community center and was quite the hit for the town.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ida Grove is having an open house any week day from now until Dec. 22. Anyone can come and view all the wonderful Nativity sets they have set up in the church.
The 9th Annual Ida Grove Kiwanis Christmas Ball took place at the Skate Palace in Ida Grove on Dec. 9. A large crowd enjoyed a wonderful prime rib dinner with chicken strips for the kids.
