The Iowa Economic Development Authority visited our downtown Ida Grove on Nov. 14. The three personnel who came were Carol Lily (Iowa Downtown Resource Center), Jeff Geerts (Special Projects Manager), and Dennis Reynolds (Owner of Reynolds Urban Design).
OABCIG High school did an amazing performance of MAMMA MIA! on Nov. 10 and 11. The students were all in sync with the play and looked like they enjoyed every minute of it, especially when they sang the cool music of ABBA.
Ida Grove Kiwanis wakes up the town at Ida Grove’s Holiday Open House on Nov. 19. The Kiwanis served a scrumptious pancake and french toast Breakfast at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
Sponsored by Ida County Republicans and Langel K LLC, a forum about human trafficking was held at the Cobblestone Inn in Holstein on Nov. 13. The event opened with prayer.
Larry Johnk, location lead at AgState in Battle Creek, enjoys being part of the local agricultural industry. Johnk discussed the people who make AgState operate smoothly.
Philip Daniel performed at the King Theatre on Nov. 15. Daniel played music on his piano accompanied by electronics that he composed. Daniel has composed for films and dancers during his career as a pianist and composer.
Ducks Unlimited - Maple River Chapter had their 41st Annual Banquet on Nov. 18 at the Skate Palace. The evening began at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour for people to meet with each other and browse the many auction items.
A Ladies Stagette brings a casino night to the Ida Grove Country Club on Friday, Nov. 17. There was Black Jack, Texas Hold em and other games of chance. Many tables of prizes to award the ladies who came to enjoy the night. Cocktails were at 5 p.m. and a meal served at 6 p.m. catered by the Best of Barb’s Catering.
