“The main product we sell is CASE IH agriculture equipment, plus others including CASE Industrial skid loaders, Cub Cadet® lawn equipment, and over 100 other brands of smaller equipment. We have a fully equipped service department for everything we sell. We also carry STIHL® chainsaws and attachments.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence is slated to stop in Holstein July 6 along with his wife Karen for a tour and a luncheon at Cobblestone Inn.
Mark and Pam Hansen are the owners and third generation dealers at Mark Hansen’s Rex Chevrolet-GMC Trucks in Odebolt. Mark shared a brief history of how the dealership got its start.
Ryssa Todd of Holstein has run her own cake decorating business since 2008. Todd enjoys seeing happy customers, especially children. She listed some of the main cakes that she makes.
“The majority of what I bake is birthday cakes, graduation cakes, wedding cakes, and cupcakes,” said Todd. I had a few graduation orders this year that were for over 300 cupcakes.”
Jennifer Sykes is the Administrator and Director of Nursing of Golden Horizons in Ida Grove, but is a lover of bees. She has around 10-12 hives in her backyard in Odebolt. Sykes grew up in Ida Grove and then her family moved to Harlan. She always said she was going to move back to Ida Grove. She fondly tells of when she was a kid in her backyard in Ida Grove, she was holding on to the branches of a tree. She said then,
Representative Randy Feenstra visited Lewis Family Drug in Ida Grove on Tuesday, June 27. Pharmacist Heather Storey and Samantha Peterson welcomed him and gave him a tour of the facility. Feenstra is interested in helping in the pharmacy area because he himself has a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. Feenstra noted,
“A lot of veterans in this area have to go to Omaha because they cannot process Tri-Care here. We are trying to change that.”
Petersen told of a scenario where a veteran came to them needing his insulin.
Abigail Else was elected the Hawkeye Secretary of Agriculture at ALA Iowa Girls State. She secured one of the top spots and was sworn in to her office at Girls State on Friday night by Iowa's Attorney General, Brenna Bird. This is a pretty big honor. Else had this to say,
Dan and Tabitha Bockelman of Battle Creek each run their own business. The couple, who have been married for 27 years, both enjoy what they do for a living. Dan runs Bockelman Dozer Service, and Tabitha owns and operates Tabitha’s Cutting Edge hair salon in Battle Creek. She, along with her associate Mandy Van Houten, provide a variety of services for area customers.
“I do hair color, cuts, perms, eyebrow waxing, and pedicures,” said Tabitha.
Mandy, who started at the beginning of the year, brings some extra skills to the business.
Battle Creek has its 4th of July Celebration starting on Saturday, July 1. There will be an Alumni banquet with social time starting at 5 p.m. with Anniversary Class pictures, meal and program starting at 5:30 p.m. At 5 p.m., the Battle Creek Fire Department Street Dance will be going on. It is a free-will donation to all including food vendors and a beer garden.
