Mark your calendar at 1 p.m. this Saturday, July 12, for a new program at the King Theatre in Ida Grove.
The festival, which originated in Manning two years ago, is a showcase of short films from student and professional filmmakers.
Ida Grove King Theatre Manager Doug Clough said the Ida Grove Community Foundation, which owns and manages the theater, had in the past considered starting a film festival.
Holstein Community Theatre staged a wonderful production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “Oklahoma!” at the Rosemary Clausen Center on June 28 and 29.
The show featured strong performances by leads Brody Bisenius and Cecily Jacobson, as well as many standouts in the cast of local actors who took on the other roles.
The first Sunrise Coffee Farmers Market of 2025 will take place this Saturday, July 12.
“Many of the same vendors will be back and we probably will have five or more new ones,” said Kenzee Reik, who runs Sunrise Coffee with her husband, Quinn.
Their farmers market, which takes place in the Odebolt coffee shop’s parking lot, is in its third year.
New vendors this year will bring baked goods, herbs, soaps, oils, sourdough, and jewelry.
